Effects of Sport Teaching on Transformation of Motoric Abilities of Students of Faculty of Education in Mostar

SUMMARY
The main objective of this research was to determine statistically significant differences in motor abilities of students measured at two different time periods. The sample consisted of 35 students from the Department of Sport and Health at the Faculty of Education, University “Džemal Bijedić” in Mostar.
The kinesiological treatment applied in this study was represented by a quarterly teaching programme in the subject Sport, conducted in accordance with the curriculum of the Faculty of Education, Department of Sport and Health. A total of 12 tests were used to evaluate various motor abilities, including balance, coordination, speed, flexibility, explosive strength, static strength, and repetitive strength.
Differences between arithmetic means obtained in the initial and final measurements were analyzed using a dependent-samples t-test. The results showed that the quarterly programme of Sport and Health teaching produced positive transformations in the majority of the examined basic motor abilities of students.
