SUMMARY
The aim of this research was to determine possible differences between groups of pupils exposed to different methodical-organizational forms of work in physical and health education classes. The study examined the effects of these teaching methods on situational motor abilities in handball among fifth-grade elementary school pupils (198 boys and girls, aged 10–11 years), divided into an experimental group (N = 99) and a control group (N = 99).
The experimental group participated in physical and health education lessons organized through complex group methodical-organizational forms of work, including parallel classroom work, parallel classroom work with additional exercises, parallel alternative work, parallel alternative work with additional exercises, alternative classroom work, and alternative classroom work with additional exercises.
The control group was taught using simpler organizational methods, such as frontal teaching and work in groups of three or four pupils.
The findings confirmed the hypothesis that complex methodical-organizational forms of work contribute to greater effectiveness in physical and health education. These approaches intensified the teaching process and enabled significantly better results in the field of situational motor abilities compared with the control group.
