Jasmin Pandur
SUMMARY
The main objective of this research was to determine the level of quantitative changes in the motor and functional abilities of football players aged 16–18 years following a specific three-month football training program.
To achieve this objective, the study included an initial assessment of motor and functional abilities, implementation of a training program lasting three months, and a final assessment conducted after completion of the program. Appropriate statistical procedures were planned for processing the collected data and drawing conclusions regarding the effects of the training intervention.
The participants were members of FK Blagaj from Blagaj. The longitudinal study included 30 football players aged between 16 and 18 years. The training program lasted 90 days and consisted of 38 training sessions. Training was conducted three times per week, with individual sessions lasting between 50 and 60 minutes, depending on the training objectives, periodization, weekly and daily schedules, weather conditions, and training environment.
The study was designed to evaluate the effectiveness of a structured football-specific program in improving players' strength and functional capacities over a defined training period.
