SUMMARY
The family represents the primary community and environment that provides a child with love, care, and attention. Parenting is a demanding and responsible role that requires knowledge, commitment, and the ability to respond appropriately to various situations that arise during a child’s development. To successfully fulfill this role, parents should continuously educate themselves through seminars, workshops, lectures, and other educational programs.
This paper focuses on the importance of psychomotor development as one of the key aspects of overall child development. Psychomotor development refers to the coordinated growth and functioning of the brain and body, enabling children to acquire and refine movement skills. The most significant period for the development of psychomotor abilities is early childhood, beginning at birth and continuing throughout life.
Parents play a crucial role in monitoring and encouraging their child's movement, coordination, and overall development. They are responsible for recognizing potential developmental delays, irregularities, or stagnation in progress. When such difficulties are observed, professional assistance should be sought in a timely manner.
In addition to the family, educational and other social institutions also contribute significantly to the healthy development of children. Through cooperation between parents, professionals, and institutions, optimal conditions can be created for the proper psychomotor development and well-being of every child.
