SUMMARY
Exercise can have various effects on the human body and organism. While physical activity generally contributes to health and development, it can sometimes cause adverse effects, including excessive fatigue, pathological changes, or mechanical injuries resulting from excessive stress, internal muscular forces, or external mechanical influences.
Teachers of Physical and Health Education, as well as coaches and medical professionals, must be aware of these risks in order to prevent potential injuries. Many authors classify injuries that occur during sports and physical education activities as sports injuries. To reduce their occurrence and ensure the successful implementation of educational programs, special attention should be devoted to injury prevention measures.
The study emphasizes the importance of educating teaching staff and providing them with appropriate knowledge. Such knowledge should not be limited to medical aspects alone but should also include professional and scientific knowledge from the fields of sport and physical education. Furthermore, teachers must possess pedagogical competencies necessary for organizing and conducting classes safely, while maintaining motivation and positive interaction with students.
By following scientifically based rules and procedures, ensuring the proper use of equipment and teaching aids, and providing adequate organization of time and space during classes, the risk of injuries can be significantly reduced. The application of preventive measures contributes to a safer educational environment and minimizes injuries among students during Physical and Health Education classes.
